$26 Million in Clean Diesel Grant Opportunities Available Soon

The Request for Applications (RFA) for the roughly $26 million in Clean Diesel Funding is anticipated to open on Wednesday, March 4, 2009.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has made more than $300 million available nationwide and $26 million in the Blue Skyways Region (Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas). This funding can be used for retrofits, re-powers, replacements, engine upgrades and idle reduction technologies.

The Request for Application (RFA) will be posted at www.epa.gov/cleandiesel and at www.blueskyways.org/funding/cleandiesel.html.

Please note the competition schedule has been expedited – only 40 days expected from the anticipated opening date (March 4, 2009) to the closing date (April 13, 2009).
