Texas Emmissions Reduction Program (TERP)

The Texas Emissions Reduction Program (TERP) provides monetary incentives for projects to improve air quality in the state’s non-attainment areas. If you are thinking about purchasing a new vehicle, replacing an old vehicle or a piece of heavy-duty equipment, or minimizing pollution from your business and construction activities, financial assistance may be available.

Eligible activities include:

  • Lease or purchase of new vehicles/equipment
  • Demonstration of new technology
  • Replacement of vehicles/equipment
  • On Vehicle electrification and idling infrastructure
  • Repower of vehicles/equipment
  • Rail relocation and improvements
  • Installation of refueling infrastructure
  • Use of qualifying fuels
  • Retrofits or add-ons of emissions-reduction technology
  • On-site electrification and idling reduction infrastructure
